He even proposed the creation of a peaceful organisation of European Christian rulers, anticipating the idea of today's European Union by several centuries.

Its former seat, the Palace U Kunštátu, has undergone several architectural changes over the centuries, but it still occupies an important place in the bustling centre of Prague, on the excellent adrez. The name 3 Epoques Apartments was chosen deliberately. The Palace of Kunštát was built in the 12th century as part of a large court. Its more modern reconstruction in the 15th century, and thus its next epoch, is connected with the above mentioned Hussite King George of Poděbrady. And the palace entered its third epoch with new owners at the beginning of the 18th century, when it underwent a major reconstruction that added a new layer to its already rich heritage. It is this blend of older and newer architectural styles that gives the palace its unique character today.
